HOW IT WORKS:

If you are in OMG / following any of the latest news / Source Market gigs – you will know that something called domain stacking is making the rounds – mainly because of how well it does at ranking sites. In the most basic sense – this interlinking of social accounts increases the trust that each one is able to pass, effectively making the links to your site on them way more powerful.

This gig looks at this from another angle – and uses the idea of a link from a highly authoritative social media account that is powered up (followers / traffic / links). The breakdown looks like this:

3 SOCIAL LINKS (PINTEREST / TWITTER / GOOGLE)

These links are stacked on top of each other. IE – Google + links to the Tweet & to your site, Twitter to the Google + plus your site. Twitter to Pinterest + your site and Pinterest to the Google + update + your site.

THE SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS:

700 – 15k followers. Initially paid for – but consistent updating and content has attracted real followers.

FAQ:

Does this work? Yes. I have tested this on a few sites now – and it is hammering it. While social doesn’t pass on ‘link juice’ per se, it does allow huge amounts of trust to flow through it. After all – Google can’t afford to miss out on the party happening on social media if they want to stay fresh.

Is this safe? Yes. If, very hypothetically, there was any way this thing could pass a penalty (it won’t), I can just delete the social media updates containing your links – and *poof*, all the bad voodoo is gone. The other cool thing about this is – not even your competitors will know you are using it. Domain metric tools like Moz / AHrefs / Majestic don’t show these as links – but rather ‘social signals’.
