Sales Copy That ACTUALLY Sells
Sales Copy That ACTUALLY Sells
What Duck Hunters Can Teach You About Writing Sales Copy…
Anyone can write.
That’s the truth.
That’s also a problem.
Many product owners and service providers have something tremendous to offer.
Unfortunately, it will never see the light of day because their sales copy isn’t cutting it.
In most cases it's usually because of one of two things:
1) The individual tries to write it themselves
2) The individual hires a writer to do it
You may be wondering WHY I’m mentioning the latter.
Wouldn’t the writer KNOW how to write sales copy?
Wouldn’t the hired writer KNOW what to do?
No, not necessarily.
Remember the problem – Anyone can write.
Not everyone can write sizzling copy that sells.
The best way for me to explain the difference is by using one of my favorite TV shows – Duck Dynasty.
The show isn’t just hilarious to watch, but it can also give you great tips on life, business and in this case, creating great sales copy.
Jase, Jep and the rest of the crew are sitting around talking about an upcoming fishing tournament.
Soon the topic turns and they argue about who the best fisherman in the room is, when a profound statement is made…
“There are those who
fish and there are those who catch.”
– Jase Robertson, Duck Dynasty
Read that statement again.
Anyone can write, but not everyone can write copy that’ll hook readers (no pun intended).
That copy can LOOK like sales copy, heck it could even have some nice photos, testimonials and a snazzy (is that a word?) headline, BUT there’s only one way to determine if it ACTUALLY is - Your bank account.
That’s the
bottom line question here.
It’s like Jep said, there are those who go out with all of the gear – the nice rod, the hip-waders, the bait – and there are those who ACTUALLY catch fish.
I’ll take anyone with a plain old rod and their “Super Secret” bait that catches fish like crazy, over someone that looks good but can’t catch a darned thing.
Hint: I’ve got some “Super Secret” Sales Copy bait if you’re interested…
But I digress…
I’ve been writing for clients for over a decade and have written for many more here at Konker.
If you’ve read this far, you either just need a little more convincing that I can get the job done (to which you can just skip to the testimonials below), OR you’re trying to justify paying someone else to do it.
I can hear the gears cranking now…”I can do it myself.”
To which I ask – “Why haven’t you?”
Or perhaps…
“What if I’m not happy with it?”
You have 30 days to test it out, drive it around and see whether you like it or not. If you still aren’t happy then let me know and I’ll make it right, deal?
Or maybe, you’re even thinking along the lines of…
“For that cost, I’d rather write it myself or find someone cheaper.”
Do you know what doing something like that is actually going to cost you, if it’s not done properly?
Imagine this, there are 20 visitors to your page a month that are on the fence.
Good copy sells those folks, while mediocre copy has them leaving your site.
Now, imagine your product or service costs $100.
I’m no math whiz, but that just cost you $2,000 instead of putting it into you bank account.
Picture this – What if you are getting 20 people a day like this to your site…
Let it simmer for a bit, I’ll wait.
In the meantime,
here’s what one client said about some copy I wrote for him a while back.

If you’re concerned that your current sales copy just isn’t cutting it, OR if you don’t have sales copy and need an experienced writer who can tell your story, captivate your audience and get them to pull out their wallets, then hit the order button now.
I will tell you though, that I don’t take EVERY order.
I have refunded buyers in the past if it just doesn’t seem like a good fit.
If I’ve pushed you off the fence (in a good way and in the right direction), then let’s get started.
Hit the order button up top and let’s go fishing, or rather, let’s go CATCHING!
